Admission process

  1. Admission is through the state selection trials Tamil Nadu conducts for its sports hostels, followed by counselling.
  2. The department brands the intake “TN Talent” and runs it through the portal tntalent.sdat.in.
  3. Entry is into classes 7, 8, 9 and 11.
  4. Disciplines advertised in the 2024-25 trial were athletics, basketball, cricket, hockey, handball, football, volleyball and kabaddi — across the hostel network, not hostel by hostel.
