India's men beat Pakistan by 19 runs in the T20 gold-medal match at Korogi Park in Nisshin on Saturday, 3 October, to retain the Asian Games cricket title — India's second successive men's cricket gold.

Batting first, India posted 211 for 6. Abhishek Sharma set the tone with 61 off 28 balls, reaching his half-century from just 20 deliveries, before Tilak Varma finished unbeaten on 51 off 22. Shivam Dube added a late cameo of 27 from 15 balls in a 62-run sixth-wicket stand with Tilak.

Pakistan, despite a brilliant 96 off 51 balls from Hasan Nawaz, managed only 192 for 6 in their 20 overs, falling 19 runs short.

The victory completed a cricket double for India at the Games, after Harmanpreet Kaur's women's team had earlier retained its gold medal by beating Sri Lanka in their final. It was India's 19th gold medal of the 2026 Asian Games.

India, led by Shreyas Iyer, had reached the final by beating Sri Lanka by 124 runs in the semifinal, while Pakistan advanced from the other semifinal against Bangladesh.
