Khelo India has cycled more than 3,000 scholar-athletes through its programme since 2018, with roughly a third graduating into national camps.

The Accredited Academy network has crossed 1,000 centres across all 28 states and 8 Union Territories — though density still skews toward Haryana, Punjab, Manipur and Kerala.

Independent reviews have flagged uneven monitoring at the district level, an area the 2026 policy revision is expected to tighten.
