Frequently asked questions

How does a school or institution get a coach?

The institution engages a coach for its disabled students and the scheme pays that coach a stipend of ₹10,000 per month; equipment support of ₹30,000 (up to 25 students) or ₹75,000 (25–50 students) is provided alongside.

How are districts selected?

A nodal agency proposes districts and the Apex Committee approves them, allocated across States/UTs in proportion to their number of districts, on a rotation basis so all districts are covered over four years. At least 50 persons are coached per selected district.
