Career path: Sports Physiotherapist

BPT, MPT in Sports, internships and a route into national camps, IPL franchises and Olympic centres.

Step-by-step

  1. Complete a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) — a 4.5-year programme from an Indian Association of Physiotherapy (IAP) recognised institute.
  2. Specialise with a Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) in Sports — typically 2 years.
  3. Intern with a state association, NIS Patiala, or a franchise league team for hands-on exposure.
  4. Register with your State Council of Physiotherapy.
  5. Apply for openings at SAI training centres, franchise teams, NSFs or private high-performance gyms.
