Pentala Harikrishna (born 10 May 1986) is an Indian chess grandmaster. He achieved a peak world ranking of 10 in November 2016, and a peak Elo rating of 2770 in December 2016. On 17 August 2001, he became the youngest Indian to attain the title of grandmaster, a record which was subsequently held by Koneru Humpy, Parimarjan Negi, Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu and Gukesh Dommaraju in that order.
