Eligibility

  • ▸ Age 16 to 28 years (as of 14 November 2024 in the last round).
  • ▸ Elite Para Scholar: national ranking 1 to 5 in the latest National Para Championship or national selection tournament in the applicant's category, or a member of the Indian team in an official international para championship or games, in an event listed for the Asian Para Games 2026 or Paralympics 2028, excluding Paralympic medallists.
  • ▸ Para Scholar: national ranking 6 to 10 in the latest national championship or selection tournament, in an event listed for the Asian Para Games 2026 or Paralympics 2028.
  • ▸ The sport's federation must be recognised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
  • ▸ The applicant must not be employed or receiving a similar scholarship from another corporate or organisation (an undertaking to opt out is allowed), and scholars cannot draw any other scholarship or stipend for sporting activity.

Benefits

  • ✓ Elite Para Scholar: ₹20,000 per month in each of the three years.
  • ✓ Para Scholar: ₹15,000 per month in each of the three years.
  • ✓ Games and seats (men and women each): Archery 4, Athletics 10, Badminton 5, Boccia 2, Cycling 2, Judo 2, Paracanoe 2, Paratriathlon 1, Powerlifting 2, Rowing 2, Shooting 4, Swimming 3, Table Tennis 5, Taekwondo 2, Wheelchair Fencing 2, Wheelchair Tennis 2.
  • ✓ There is no obligation on IOCL to give employment to the scholars.
