Admission process

  1. Openings are advertised in state newspapers by the Rajasthan State Sports Council — there is no rolling online application.
  2. Selection is a physical fitness battery, a technical skill test, a discipline assessment and a medical examination.
  3. The selection committee includes sports officers, a minimum of two coaches and a minimum of one former international athlete.
  4. Age is reckoned on 1 July: boys 13-16 and girls 13-17, with a maximum residential age of 18.
  5. The academy session runs 1 July to 30 April.
