About
The All India Football Federation (AIFF) is the national governing body for association football in India. Formed in June 1937 with six founder state associations and headquartered at Football House in Dwarka, New Delhi, the AIFF is a member of FIFA (from 1948), the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). It runs the senior men's national team, the senior women's national team, all age-group national teams (U-23, U-20, U-17 and below) and the Indian national futsal and beach soccer teams. On the club side it sanctions the top-tier Indian Super League (from the 2024–25 season the AIFF's official top division), the I-League, the I-League 2, the I-League 3, the Indian Women's League and the youth I-League structure, together with the Super Cup, Durand Cup and Santosh Trophy for state teams. AIFF-affiliated state associations conduct their own senior and age-group leagues that feed the national pyramid. The federation is governed by an Executive Committee elected under a constitution adopted in 2022 following orders of the Supreme Court of India, and its day-to-day administration is led by a Secretary General. AIFF also operates coach and referee education pathways aligned with AFC and FIFA licensing.
