Overview
A scheme to provide SAI coaching support to existing educational institutions with adequate infrastructure to motivate students towards sports.
Eligibility
- ▸ Educational institutions (Schools/Colleges) with proven sports track records
- ▸ Age group of trainees 10-18 years
- ▸ Schools must provide playground and basic amenities
Benefits
- ✓ SAI provides a qualified coach to the institution
- ✓ Annual grant for sports equipment: ₹20,000 to ₹50,000
- ✓ Nutritional supplement/Stipend for trainees: ₹6,000 per annum per trainee
Documents required
- ▪ Aadhaar card
- ▪ Proof of age (birth certificate / school certificate)
- ▪ Domicile / residence proof
- ▪ Recent passport-size photograph
- ▪ Sports achievement certificates (state / national)
- ▪ Bank account details (passbook copy)
- ▪ Coach / academy recommendation letter (if applicable)
- ▪ Medical fitness certificate

Schools/Colleges must apply to the respective SAI Regional Centre.
