Two wrestlers grapple on a circular mat, aiming to pin the opponent's shoulders to the ground or score more technical points through takedowns, reversals, and exposure. Olympic wrestling has two disciplines — freestyle (all-body holds allowed) and Greco-Roman (upper body only, no leg holds or trips). Bouts run two 3-minute periods.
