Overview
Provides financial assistance to outstanding sportspersons of yesteryears now living in indigent circumstances or requiring medical treatment.
Eligibility
- ▸ Sportspersons who have represented the country in international competitions or national championships.
- ▸ Annual income of the sportsperson from all sources must be less than ₹4 lakh.
- ▸ Coaches and support personnel who have served sports prominently are also eligible.
Benefits
- ✓ Financial assistance up to ₹5 lakh for medical treatment.
- ✓ Lump sum assistance up to ₹5 lakh to sportspersons living in indigent circumstances.
- ✓ Assistance up to ₹2.5 lakh for purchase of sports equipment.
- ✓ Assistance up to ₹2 lakh to families of deceased sportspersons.

- ▪ Recent passport-size photograph
- ▪ Sports achievement certificates (state / national)
- ▪ Bank account details (passbook copy)
- ▪ Coach / academy recommendation letter (if applicable)
- ▪ Medical fitness certificate
