Honors sportspersons who have contributed to sports through their performance and continue to contribute to the promotion of sports even after retirement.
Eligibility
- ▸ Must have reached the age of 45 years or above
- ▸ Must have retired from active sports
- ▸ Demonstrated contribution to sports promotion post-retirement
Benefits
- ✓ Cash prize of ₹10 lakh
- ✓ Statuette of Dhyan Chand and a Certificate
Documents required
- ▪ Aadhaar card
- ▪ Proof of age (birth certificate / school certificate)
- ▪ Domicile / residence proof
- ▪ Recent passport-size photograph
- ▪ Sports achievement certificates (state / national)
- ▪ Bank account details (passbook copy)
- ▪ Coach / academy recommendation letter (if applicable)
- ▪ Medical fitness certificate
